Ground Turkey Pie
Easy pie/casserole that my mom used to make with hamburger, but I make it with ground turkey instead to try to be a little healthier.
1 lb. ground turkey
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mixed vegetables drained
2 pie crusts (I’ve also made it using bisquik to make drop biscuits that i put on top before baking if I don’t happen to have pie crusts handy and don’t want to make it, so it’s kind of like a shepherd’s pie
Brown and drain the meat. Meanwhile mix can of soup with mixed vegetables. Put one crust on bottom of pie plate. After meat is browned and drained, add to soup mixture. Mix well, then pour into pie crust. Top with 2nd pie crust. Slit holes in top and bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes, long enough to cook crust and heat pie through. That’s it, easy as pie!
