Easy Lettuce Wraps
1 lb ground meat (I like to use ground turkey, but have had it with pork and beef, diced chicken would probably be good too)
Hoisin sauce (1 small jar or half of a large one)
vegetables (I like water chestnuts, celery, and mushrooms, but usually just go with whatever I have on hand or am in the mood for.)
Head of lettuce
White or brown rice
Start rice cooking. I use a rice cooker and start it a little bit before I start cooking the meat so that they’re done about the same time, or sometimes I wait till my cooker switches to warm to start cooking the meat. Brown meat in skillet, drain. Season with ginger and garlic powder to taste. Stir in Hoisin sauce and vegetables. Heat through. Meanwhile wash lettuce and separate leaves to use as bowls. Spoon rice into leaf bowls and top with meat mixture. Wrap up and enjoy! This is one of my family’s favorites!
