I’m a 30 something mom to 4 kids, ages 16, 13, 3, and a baby born in September of 2013. Sometimes I really wonder about my sanity when I decided to start all over and have kids 10 years apart. But so far it’s been a fun ride. I started working as a labor and delivery nurse about 3 years ago. It’s been pretty overwhelming at times, but I’m starting to get more confident and enjoy it more each day. By taking that position I now have a lot more time at home which has me looking for some new hobbies to fill my time. Something to make me feel a little more productive than just sitting on the couch rewatching cancelled shows on Netflix all day.
I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more commonly known as Mormon) and am married to my best friend. We met on the internet over 8 years ago and have been married for over 5. Life is pretty good, we’re content with how things are. Could always use more time together but we do what we have to in order to make things work for us. My oldest child has an autism spectrum disorder, but is very high functioning. He just acts a little different than most kids. Which is fine, it’s what makes him special. My middle child is at a fun age, we enjoy getting “girl time” together and having long talks. I really hope I can keep the lines of communication with her open through her teenage years. I can dream, can’t I? Having children with such a big age difference in between them and their older siblings has really turned into quite the blessing. They bring so much joy and happiness into the household and remind us daily of what a gift babies are.
I strive to be a good mother, daughter, friend and nurse, but sometimes life gets in the way. So here’s a place for me to write about my experiences, hopes, fears and even dreams.
